Right then, on to Cheddar Gorge home of, you guessed it Cheddar!
We didn't go to the dairy to see the cheese being made but instead took the children into a 300 million year old cave where they stored the cheese over 2oo years ago.

We listened to audio phones, automated guides so we could skip the boring parts about rock formation and listen to tales of......the oldest whole skeleton, Cheddar Man! No, I am not making that up.....If you look carefully in the picture below you can see him.

Another rare sight, Billy in a picture!!!

Having taken them into the deepest depths we proceded to make them walk 422 steps up Jacobs Ladder to the top of the gorge. Then to add insult to injury we made them walk back down again!! Hee hee....

Here endeth our day in Cheddar.
